Erev Shabbat, Torah, and Havdalah Services

Worship services at Chavurah Shalom revolve around the Biblical Sabbath. Shabbat begins Friday evening at sundown and ends Saturday evening at sundown. We currently meet at 7:00 PM on Friday evenings for Erev Shabbat service, and on Saturday morning at 11:00 am for liturgy, and 1:00 pm for Shabbat School and Biblical study. At 2:00 pm we have a community Oneg followed at 3:30 by fellowship. During standard Time (starting on December 31) the Havdalah service on Saturday night will begin at 5:30 PM. During Daylight Savings Time (DST) the Havdalah service will return to 7:00 PM. Our services include the typical liturgy, Davidic dance, music, and teaching the Bible from the Jewish or Hebraic perspective and the culture in which it was written.
