Erev Shabbat, Torah, and Havdalah Services
Worship services at Chavurah Shalom revolve around the Biblical Sabbath. Shabbat begins Friday evening at sundown and ends Saturday evening at sundown.
We currently meet at 7:00 PM on Friday evenings for Erev Shabbat service, and on Saturday morning at 11:00 am for liturgy, 1:00 pm for Shabbat School and Parashah
study. At 2:00 pm we have a community Oneg followed by Hebrew classes and fellowship at 3:30. At 7:00 PM we begin Havdalah service. Our services include the typical liturgy,
Davidic dance, music, and teaching the Bible from the Jewish or Hebraic perspective and culture in which it was written.
Children classes start September 10, 2016. Classes will be held on Saturday from 1 - 2 pm. Along with the teaching about the feasts and festivals and other scriptural
lessons; we will also be teaching the Hebrew alphabet and beginner Hebrew lessons in preparation for Bar/Bat Mizvah.
